Sure it sounds so familiar, the organization one. It’s Green Peace which is tends to hardly fight for the environment so it will be survive. The world issue of that kind of things, for instance the climate changes, the extinction of animals and plants and so on. So..many things, so many actions, and so many nations. Oh, I just can’t explain what they’d done and what they will do, c’mon, just visit the site then you’ll go, find out yourself in what way the desire probably lead you.
I just only love the way I got there. Honestly, it’s such a restricted area, how can I say so? Well, by the invitation of course, it’s not allow for anyone, except the volunteers, supporters and some members I don’t know exactly, it’s committee’s policy.
Priok Port, in the Northern of Jakarta is the spot of the Esperanza as it’s a ship isn’t it? Well, we have to get there by 1 pm on Thursday. It’s so hot during the rainy season in Jakarta. Of course we just sweat anyway. The motorcycle which accompany us seems exhausted also, well, in the other way, we still get lost, because, I don’t know, somehow, my senior who got the invitation probably born in Bandung, not in Jakarta, so, it’s such a different between both cities. (It sounds so ridiculous isn’t it? Since he already been in Jakarta for a couple years), oookay… It’s not a big deal coz we could reach the port safely at 1.30 pm (hurray!!).
Let me tell you,  the port, I don’t know, is so…so….big! Oh my…it has more than one terminal, and we have to find out where’s terminal 3. After long life time searching (lol) finally, we found it!  God willing, then, we caught up the parking and automatically walking through the black-glass door which has “Green Peace” long-stuffs above.

After entered the door, we are being pleased by the service of the committees, they were talking to us since we asked them, they also explained about how to take a part into green peace action, become a supporter or the volunteer and it’s up to you. But, at that time, we still considered the things, because, both of us were confused, don’t know the way we have to get into.
The nice one is when we’re taking a look to the photographs. They’re like telling us, how poor the Indonesia’s forest and of course, other natural resources have been exploited so cruel then, in the end, it will regretful the human being in the whole world. Remember, we are surrounded by the ecology. If one of them was disturbing and died, so the other will get the effects also won’t it? it’s like dependent one another.
By the way, before visiting the ship, we have to wait till the shuttle bus picking us up. Well, after a couple hours waiting, we were taking into the ship. The Esperanza! Awesome! I never meet this kind of beautiful ship before (please don’t accuse for the TITANIC, okay!) of course we won’t pass the opportunity to take some pictures, click, click, yea, gotcha!!

Some facts of the Esperanza (spain: hopes)
-    Issued on February, 2002, and so called as the biggest and also the newest ship of Green Peace since the “Now Green Peace” ship was retired.
-    It was named by the visitor of the site. That’s the first ship which is named by the green peace’s fans.
-    It was a part of the 14 battle ships ordered by Russian Government in 19b3-1987 from Stooznia Polnocna Construction Yard in Gdanjs, Poland.
-    It was taking a long time to make Esperanza as an eco-friendly ship.
-    Esperanza is the first registered ship in Holland which uses push-out system to decrease the emission of carbon dioxide.
-    It supported the standard operating tools for the action of Green peace, also completed by Helicopter hangar, rubber boat, and special rubber boat deck.
-    The first action of this ship is “Ancient Forest Save or Delete” in 2002.
Woo…the journey is still continued; this is the first time of the ship to visit Indonesia.  Wow, just my luck, I’m one of those people who are so lucky to see the ship! Yeaah, we’re coming Esperanza!  The committees let us to walk around the ship, then, meet the captain, Mrs. Madeline Habib, she was the woman in charge of the cruise in Indonesia for about 2 months. Start from Jayapura in October the 6th 2008.  She also nice and smart since she’s the captain of the ship isn’t she? Besides the Capt. we also met Husnia who has a duty around the deck, and also Mr. Locky Maclean, her boss. They’re all nice persons! I’m so glad to meet them at that time.
Now, look at this, why so the Esperanza has to cruise around our country? It’s about surviving the last natural forest with the high variety of its kinds in Jayapura. Pathetic! The forest seems to be extinct by a bloody huge concession held by industries.
Well, let me tell you, what would happen if there’s no more forest left for the world. The climate change will be extremely changed! ALL WILL CHANGE, C’mon, imagine there’s no more absorbing thing which will absorb the water so it can be saving for some moments, we can pump it up anyway as needed right? And it also avoids the land from the flood. And more benefit which I can’t tell you one by one.
How can we just sit and talk without even have considering that it would harm us anyway. Start your move by join into this action. You don’t have to just donate the organization but you also can be such a volunteer, and even a lil’ buddy which start the change of your own neighborhood. Separate the litters, the organic and non-organic one, plant the trees, recycling your things, and do anything that will make the earth better.
